With over 7 years previous experience as an illustrator and graphic designer, Ryan made the decision to return to school with the goal of entering the field of Geographic Information Systems. His design skills lead him to become a Cartographic Specialist, and during his 12 months at Sir Sandford Fleming College he was awarded the Canadian Institute of Geomatics Award, and the Gary Clements Memorial Award. Ryan is looking for a positive work environment where he can apply his GIS and cartographic knowledge with design experience to produce exciting results.

Holly Sanford is a Cartographic Specialist student in the GIS Program at Fleming College. Her background involves a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Acadia University having taken many courses in Biology, Chemistry, Math and Statistics. She enjoys exploring visual concepts, outdoor education, and staying active. She hopes to incorporate both her educational skills as well as her personal interests in a positive manner as she enters into the GIS Cartographic profession.

Derek Virgo is a Cartographic Specialist in the GIS post-degree program at Fleming College. He holds a bachelor's degree from Carleton University where he studied in Communications and completed minors in Geography and History. Beyond map production and GIS analysis, Derek is skilled in various areas of field work, and technical report writing. Derek's interests and experiences in health and fitness, geography, adventure and travel are all things he hopes to include with his future career endeavors. He currently resides in Markham, Ontario.
